| An experienced
professional in development, marketing and volunteer
management, Jane Ann Gorsky has worked in the nonprofit,
public and higher education sectors for over 25
years.
As vice president for advancement at Saint Mary
College in Leavenworth, Kansas, she initiated
efforts to move the college from a history of
capital campaigns to annual and major gift programs.
In three years Jane Ann raised $1 million and
significantly increased local community contributions,
alumni giving and the level of volunteer involvement.
As director of donor relations for the Greater
Kansas City Community Foundation, Jane Ann developed
and managed the initial integrated fund service
delivery system. She also directed the development
and marketing efforts of the Heart of America
Boy Scout Council for a combined total of ten
years. Additionally, Jane Ann worked for the Community
Development Department and Neighborhood Housing
Services in Kansas City, Kansas.
Jane Ann's experience includes the development
and implementation of comprehensive development
and marketing plans. In the nonprofit sector,
she initiated special events, annual campaigns,
grant writing programs, volunteer management and
development, media relations and the production
of newsletters, brochures and articles.
As a consultant to The Shehane Group,
Jane Ann has worked with nonprofits to develop
board training and orientation sessions, create
development departments, implement business plans,
draft case statements, coach consultants and volunteers
in soliciting major gifts, draft grant proposals,
lead campaigns and coordinate marketing and public
relations efforts.
Jane Ann is an active member of the Association
of Fundraising Professionals and the Greater Kansas
City Council of Philanthropy. She is a graduate
of Saint Mary College in Leavenworth.
